Upon analysing the differences on quality and biochemical components (such as free amino acid, nitrogen, caffeine, polyphenol, anthocyanin, pectin and disaccharide contents) between the vegetatively propagated plant of Wuyi Dahongpao Rock Tea and its maternal plant, the results showed that the Rock Tea produced by vegetatively propagated plant of Dahongpao generally retains the excellent quality features of its maternal plant.
