Comparison research of the working sets for one- or two-layer ploughing. Part II. Working resistances

Comparison research of the working sets for one- or two-layer ploughing. Part II. Working resistances

Journal of Research and Applications in Agricultural Engineering 47(1): 62-66

A performance test on working sets for 1- or 2-layer ploughs: (1) classic plough body; (2) classic plough body with a subsoiler; and (3) new working set with a tine and a body, was conducted. The working resistances of each set and resistances of their main components were determined. It was found that 2-layer ploughing, which included deep loosening and shallow turning of soil, has lower working resistances than those of 1-layer ploughing.
