Competitiveness of flooded rice cultivars with a red rice simulating cultivar

Competitiveness of flooded rice cultivars with a red rice simulating cultivar

Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira 38(1): 53-59

ISSN/ISBN: 0100-204X

Research was conducted to investigate the competitiveness of 8 flooded rice (Oryza sativa) cultivars with a red rice simulating genotype (EEA 406) during the 2000/01 warm season in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The behaviour of cultivars IRGA 421, BRS Ligeirinho, IRGA 418, XL 6, El Paso L 144, Bluebelle, IAS 12-9 Formosa and IR 841 in the presence or absence of EEA 406, which simulated a red rice infestation, was observed.
