The essential oil isolated by hydrodistillation from aerial parts of Chaerophyllum macrospermum (Spreng.) Fisch. et C.A. Mey., and was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Sixteen components were identified, constituting 99.6% of the oil. The major components were (E)-beta-ocimene (40.0%), tricyclene (19.4%), delta-3-carene (18.3%) and mycrene (10.1%).
