The following study evaluates the relationships between slaughter and carcass traits of cattle. Based on data from a number of experiments conducted at Grange, it was found that animals finished indoors on silage + concentrates at about 24 months are relatively fatter and have a better kill-out than similar cattle finished at the same weight off pasture at about 30 months.
