Consumer behavior regarding time lapse between store-purchase and subsequent home-storage of fresh beef retail cuts

This study used postcards to determine consumers' self-reported time lapse between purchase of fresh beef retail cuts at supermarkets and placement of those products in the home refrigerator or freezer. Postcard return rate (46.4%) was very favorable, ranging from 36.6% in Wisconsin to 61.2% in Oklahoma.
