Packaged milk products in 1999 accounted for 90.2% of total milk product production in Russia, up from 79.3% in 1995. In 1999, 47.1% of milk products were packed in combined materials based on paper and board (e.g. Pure Pak, Tetra-Rex and Tetra Brik Aseptic cartons), 47% in polyethylene film-based materials (pouches and tubes), and 5% in polystyrene, polypropylene or polyethylene packages (cups or blow moulded bottles).
