Contribution of the multivariate analysis on the site classification in planted forests of Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Ktze., based on physical and morphological soil factors and on the litter nutrient content
The influence of the morphology and physical properties of soil and litter nutrient content on site classification in a 47-year-old Araucaria angustifolia stand in Canela National Forest, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, was determined by multivariate analysis. The observations were classified, through cluster analysis, into 3 distinct groups according to their locations at the different natural sites.
