Contribution to knowledge of seed processing of Norway spruce (Picea abies/L./Karst.)

A study was conducted during the autumn of 2001 on 12 570 kg cones of Norway spruce (Picea abies) obtained from the Forest Administration 'Ogulin', Forest Office 'Plaski' and processed in the seed extraction plant at the Forest Research Institute Jastrebarsko, Croatia. The length and width of the cones were determined from a representative sample (3x100 cones) and were dried at 45 degrees C and 35% humidity.
