In pot trials using various soils, the pathogenic actinomycetes of apple were investigated whether they also cause damages of other Rosaceae species. Actinomycetes were observed not only in the rootlets of apple but also in the rootlets of representatives of the subfamily Maloideae and Spiraeoideae, indicating that the range of host plants of the pathogenic actinomycetes of apple is not restricted to Malus species.
