Control of Pieris rapae and Pluttella xylostella with a preparation of a mutant strain of Bacillus thuringiensis Bt H3136

A plot experiment was carried out in Nanjing, China, in which pakchoi cabbage was sprayed with diluted solutions of Bt H3136, omethoate or water. Bt H3136 is a dust preparation of a newly selected mutant strain of Bacillus thuringiensis. The treatment of Bt H3136 diluted with water by 1000 times at the rate of 1800 g/m2 gave better control of the two pests than omethoate.
