Corelation between nutrients of peach leaves and carbohydrate contents of peach fruits

Corelation between nutrients of peach leaves and carbohydrate contents of peach fruits

Ege Universitesi Ziraat Fakultesi Dergisi 37(2/3): 51-57

Soil, leaf and fruit samples were taken from 20 peach orchards of the two regions (Selcuk-Belevi-Davutlar and Kemalpasa-Turgutlu-Salihli) in Turkey where intensive peach cultivation is carried out in order to study the relations between the nutrient status and carbohydrate content of the trees. Sucrose is the dominant sugar in peach fruits. Soil available Ca and Mg contents increased the fruit carbohydrate and quality. Fruit peel Mn and sucrose contents were highly correlated.
