Corn response to phosphorus and potassium fertilization at various soil test levels



Research Series Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station ( 480): 49-51



Maize plants were treated with low, moderately low, medium and high K rates (0, 0.5, 1 and 2 times the recommended rate, respectively); and low and medium P rates in a field experiment conducted in Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA, in 1998-2000. Application of K increased maize grain yield in soils with low, moderately low and medium K soil test rates in 1998 and 1999, and at low and moderately low rates in 2000.
