Correlation among Mythimna separata (Wlk.) population and natural enemies and abiotic factors affecting it

Correlation among Mythimna separata (Wlk.) population and natural enemies and abiotic factors affecting it

Karnataka Journal of Agricultural Sciences 15(3): 525-529

A 2-year (1990-91) study conducted at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka, India, on the population fluctuation of Mythimna separata confirmed that the egg density was negatively correlated with infertility and maximum temperature. Similarly, a negative correlation was observed among larval density and parasitism, diseases and unknown causes (coefficient of determination ranging from 59 to 75%).
