Cu contents of 21 sets of tea and soil samples collected from main tea production areas of Sichuan province, China, were determined by using the ICP method. Results showed that the Cu contents in tea did not vary with that in its growth soil, and kept a relative stable level. Statistical analysis indicated that the correlation coefficient of Cu content between tea and soil was -0.1816, revealing a weak negative correlation.
