Correlation and path coefficient analyses were undertaken in 40 different genotypes of pearl millet grown in two soil depths (30 and 60 cm) in Rahuri, Maharashtra, India, during the kharif season of 1994. Observations were recorded on the days for 50% flowering, plant height, number of total tillers per plant, number of effective tillers per plant, ear length, ear girth, 1000-grain weight, number of grains/cm2, fodder yield per plant and grain yield per plant.
