The purpose of the present research was to analyse the correlation between some basic physical, chemical and biological parameters of water in the ecosystem of carp ponds, fish being intensively reared in them. For the period 1998-2000 in the experimental base of the Freshwater Fisheries Research Institute in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, 18 carp ponds were used.
