Correlation between wheat seed color and Fusarium head blight infection

Correlation between wheat seed color and Fusarium head blight infection

Seed and Plant 17(1): Pe88-Pe94, 8

ISSN/ISBN: 1562-5494

During the 1997-98 cropping season, 121 wheat genotypes at the Sari Agricultural Research Station and 189 wheat genotypes at Gorgan Agricultural Research Station in Iran were evaluated for their reaction to Fusarium head blight (FHB) to determine the correlation between seed colours (very white, white, cream, red and dark red) and disease severity. There was no significant difference between the colour groups at the Sari Station (where a low infection of the disease occurred).
