To quantify the downy mildew (caused by Peronospora farinosa) and its effect on seed yield under natural conditions, a field trial including eight quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) cultivars (Utusaya, Blanca de Juli, LP-4B, Jujuy, Kancolla, Ingapirca, Amarilla de M and La Molina 89) and two levels of downy mildew (with and without fungicide spray) was carried out in Junin, Peru.
