Critical period for alexandergrass (Brachiaria plantaginea) control as a function of soybean seeding time after cover crop desiccation

The effect of soyabean sowing time after cover crop desiccation (1 and 10 days after desiccation (DAD)) on the control of alexander grass (Brachiaria plantaginea), and the effect of weed control (by clethodim at 120 g/ha) timing on soyabean yield were investigated. Times of weed control were: 11, 17, 24, 31, 38 and 45 days after soyabean emergence (DAE) for 1 DAD sowing; and 8, 15, 22, 29, 36 and 42 DAE for 10 DAD sowing.
