The purpose of this paper was to explore the chromosomal behaviour of tetraploid female silkworms (ZZWW) during meiosis. The ZZWW, induced by cold shock, was crossed with the diploid male silkworm (Zsch Zsch) with the sex-linked sch gene. ZZWW triploidy was found in their progeny.
