Cytogenic examinations of early embryogenesis in the white grouper, E. aeneus, were conducted. The study was undertaken during the natural reproductive season of 1999 at the National Centre for Mariculture in Eilat, Israel. In total, 70 natural spawnings were obtained from 19 May to 16 August 1999. Embryos were subjected to cytological analyses at the blastula stage.
