Key results are presented on lettuce tipburn studies conducted in Australia during the summer of 1999-2000 and 2000-01. The studies covered the physiology of the disorder including the effects of crop growth rate, and calcium and potassium supply. Shelf life trials of different lettuce cultivars were also included.
