A study was conducted during 1994/95, 1995/96 and 1996/97 in Goias, Brazil to evaluate the levels of leaf and panicle blast (Pyricularia grisea resistance and its effect on the grain yield of 12 rice cultivars (Tangara, IAC 201, Douradao, Guarani, Rio Paranaiba, Rio Paraguai, Rio Verde, Progresso, Cuiabana, Caiapo, Carajas and Araguaia).
