Cercetari Agronomice in Moldova 33(3/4): 17-22

The effects of long-term fertilizer application on chemical composition of maize were investigated. Total nitrogen (Nt) content in grain was increased by nitrogen application. In vegetative parts, Nt was significantly different from controls only where balanced NPK had been applied. Phosphate fertilizer rates had a significant effect on grain total phosphorus (Pt) content but little influence on stem Pt.
