Nineteen antibiotics were evaluated using a thin layer chromatographic-bioautographic method (TLCB); also, a parallel evaluation was done of the standard curves of the antibiotics. The sensitivity of the method and the amount of drugs were determined by measuring the amount of minimum detectable limit concentrations (MDCs, micro g/ml), zone size (Z) and the rate of flow for each antibiotic (RF). Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633 was used as the test organism.
