A method for the determination of carbendazim residues in fruits, vegetables, and cereals was developed. The compound, extracted with methanol-hydrochloric acid mixture, was determined by HPLC with column switching and ultraviolet detection after liquid-liquid partitioning with dichloromethane. The average recovery of carbendazim from fortified samples was 68.7%+or-4.3 to 92.6%+or-4.5%.
