Determining the mean pressure of a wheeled vehicle on the soil

Determining the mean pressure of a wheeled vehicle on the soil

Lesnaya Promyshlennost' (2): 23-24

The Russian standard on methods for determining the mean pressure of a wheeled vehicle on the soil (GOST R 51629-2000) employs the coefficientK for the increase in area of contact of a type when it sinks NOT>5 cm into the soil. Another coefficient M is presented, which characterizes the physical and mechanical properties of the tyre. Values for M are tabulated for different sizes and models of tyres.
