Development and experimental assay of inactivated Salmonella and E. coli vaccine for pigs

Development and experimental assay of inactivated Salmonella and E. coli vaccine for pigs

Veterinarija ir Zootechnika 19: 29-32

This study was conducted to develop bivalent Salmonella and Escherichia coli vaccines using pig isolates and to determine the optimal concentration of bacterial cells in the vaccine. One strain of S. enterica subsp. enterica serovar choleraesuis and one strain of E. coli isolated from pig farms in Lithuania were used for vaccine development. Rabbits aged 3-4 months were used as test animals.
