Development of an efficient extraction system for the isolation of nucleic acid from meat and meat products for PCR

In this study two different extraction systems for the isolation of nucleic acid from animal tissue and meat products are compared. The method using a column is similar to other commercially available kits and suitable for the isolation of nucleic acid from processed products with only low amounts of nucleic acid. Because of the fact that the columns are very expensive an alternative method without column is presented.
