This work was undertaken to study the effect of gamete donors, sperm chromatin structure and activation procedure on ICSI outcome. Four experiments were carried out at the National Research Institute of Animal Production in Poland. In Experiment 1, oocytes recovered from 6 donor cows by the ovum pick-up method (OPU) were matured and injected with the spermatozoa of one bull. The cleavage rate among individual donor cows ranged from 15.4 to 43.7%.
