Development of methods for estimation of ranking of external quality of apples using artificial vision

Developpement de methodes pour apprecier ' en ligne' la qualite externe de pommes par vision artificielle : 213 pp.

A method was developed for assessing the quality of apples using artificial vision. The acquisition of images using cameras, frame grabbing, and computer software is outlined. Pretreatment of images and suitable plant material are discussed. The next 4 chapters consider measurement of fruit colour, modelling fruit shape, and identification of faults, and identification of cavities.
