Larvae of the nun moth (Lymantria monacha) were bred during May-July 1997 under controlled conditions in climate chambers on tree branches, which were positioned in tap water. The effects of a temperature range between 16 and 30 degrees C and 2 population densities (40 and 100 larvae) were examined. Development speed, larval mortality, weight of larvae and pupae were noted.
