A field study was conducted during 1998-99 in Damascus, Syria to compare the morphological, physiological and genetic variation among local and introduced cultivars and mutated lines of garlic (Allium sativum). Twenty-six garlic mutants and 26 local and introduced garlic cultivars were used in the study.
