Digestion of chosen nutrients from the mixtures containing different level of fibre in the wild boars, swine x wild boars hybrids and in swine

The digestibility of nutrients in wild boars, swine x wild boar hybrids, and in swine fed mixtures containing different levels of crude fibre was investigated. Group I was maintained as control and provided a mixture containing 4% crude fibre. In mixtures II and III, crude fibre levels were increased to 5 and 7%, respectively. It was found that the increase in crude fibre (>5%) in diets had negative effects on nutrient conversion, particularly manifested as decreased protein digestibility.
