A field experiment was conducted during 1991-93, Bangalore, Karnataka, India to study the direct and residual effect of intercrop rotations and nitrogen levels on lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus). The treatments included were lemongrass alone, lemongrass + black gram - black gram (Vigna mungo), lemongrass + cowpea - cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) and lemongrass + soyabean - soyabean (Glycine max) and nitrogen levels (0, 50, 100, 150 kg ha-1).
