Dissipation and recovery of azadirachtin from treated brinjal foliage

Dissipation and recovery of azadirachtin from treated brinjal foliage

Indian Journal of Plant Protection 29(1/2): 39-42

The persistence and dissipation of azadirachtin residues (Margosom 1500 and Nimbicidin 300 ppm) on aubergine were investigated. In field trials in the kharif season of 1997, in Andhra Pradesh, India, Margosom at 10 ml/litre and Nimbicidin at 5 ml/litre were sprayed to brinjal. Margosom persisted longer than Nimbicidin in the plants. The initial deposition of azadirachtin from Margosom (1.183 micro g/cm2) dissipated to 5.16% of the initial in 5 days.
