Diurnal changes in photosynthesis, and activities of enzymes and antioxidants involved in reactive oxygen metabolism were studied in the tropical red seaweed G. tikvahiae in flowing seawater in outdoor tanks in and on samples collected directly from the field (Barbados, Quebec, Canada).
