Earliness, morphological and agronomic characters and grain quality were studied in 123 European landraces and old cultivars of winter wheat in three-year (1997-99) field experiments, in Czech Republic. Simultaneously, high molecular weight Glu-alleles were identified in these cultivars by means of SDS-PAGE.
