Abstract
Private forestry in the region of Lorraine-Alsace in NE France is described, in a series of short articles covering topics such as the need to increase the size of forest holdings, certified forests and products, the use of typological inventories, local organizations and extension groups which support private forestry in the region, and problem pests such as game animals.
