The dynamics of silicon concentration and absorption in flooded water and soil solution by rice plant (Oryza sativa Manamusume) were investigated in a terraced paddy field where water was supplied successively from upper to lower paddy fields. The experiment was conducted on Andosols at the Experimental Farm, Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University (Japan) from May to September in 2001.
