Earthworms of the central and southern tablelands and slopes of NSW

Earthworms of the central and southern tablelands and slopes of NSW

Acid Soil Action Research Report 2002: 18-20

Some earthworm species can substantially enhance the incorporation of surface-applied lime in pastures, and improve pasture production. The addition of such earthworms to sites lacking them is thus a potential technology that may improve soil health and productivity. This project sought first to identify the current earthworm fauna of pastures in the southern and central tablelands and slopes of New South Wales, Australia. Earthworms were surveyed in 104 pastures.
