The condition of selected moors in the Harz mountains (Germany) exposed to human influences such as atmospheric deposition, construction and tourism were investigated. Water from visually undisturbed moors with typical bog vegetation (sites 1 and 2) and from moors showing different degrees of disturbances and degradations (sites 3 to 6) was sampled for various nitrogen (N) components, pH and electrical conductivity.
