Investigations were carried out to study the effect of soil and foliar application of nitrogen alone and in combination with zinc sulfate on mineral composition of leaf samples, and physicochemical characteristics of fruits and yield of ber (Zizyphus mauritiana Gola during 2000 in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. Nitrogen and zinc contents increased in leaf samples of ber. The physicochemical characteristics of fruits and yield per tree were improved by application of nitrogen and zinc sulfate.
