Effect of body condition, biostimulation and temporary weaning on the anoestrus postpartum interval and the rate of pregnancy in Simmental beef cows

Effect of body condition, biostimulation and temporary weaning on the anoestrus postpartum interval and the rate of pregnancy in Simmental beef cows

Agro Sur 28(2): 87-93

Seventy-three Simmental beef cows were used to evaluate the effects of body condition at parturition (high (HBC) or low (LBC)) and stimulation with (B) or without (O) a bull on the anoestrus postpartum interval. The effect of temporary weaning (W) or not (o) on pregnancy rate after artificial insemination (AI) under synchronized oestrus was also determined. The cows were assigned to a randomized 2x2 factorial arrangement with covariate utilizing X2 test for pregnancy rate analysis.
