The physical composition of carcasses and meat qualitative characteristics of cull cows from two breeding systems, purebreds (Charolais and Nelore) and F1 crossbreds (50% Charolais-Nelore and 50% Nelore-Charolais), were evaluated. The cows were feedlot finished for 80 d and fed 65% roughage (sorghum silage) and 35% concentrate on dry matter basis.
