Effect of citrate overproduction on iron nutrition in plants

Effect of citrate overproduction on iron nutrition in plants

Plant nutrition: food security and sustainability of agro ecosystems through basic and applied research Fourteenth International Plant Nutrition Colloquium, Hannover, Germany: 44-45

Transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana and Sorghum sp. plants that overproduce citrate have been generated. These plants have been biochemically and genetically analysed and used to study the role of organic acids in the iron nutrition of plants.
