A study was conducted to investigate the effect of midmorning snack consumption on energy intake and satiety. 10 male and 10 female students from the University of Milan, Italy, were enrolled. Seven types of snacks were analysed composed of 5 commercial and 2 traditional products. The effects of these snacks on satiety were determined in a first experiment.
