Effect of continuous application of organics and inorganics on the yield and nutrient uptake in sorghum-wheat crop sequence

Effect of continuous application of organics and inorganics on the yield and nutrient uptake in sorghum-wheat crop sequence

Annals of Plant Physiology 13(2): 156-159

ISSN/ISBN: 0970-9924

A field experiment initiated in 1984-85 in Akola, Maharashtra, India, was conducted to study the effects of inorganic (N, P, and K as urea, single superphosphate, and muriate of potash) and organic (farmyard manure, wheat straw, and Leucaena loppings) fertilizers on the yield and nutrient (N, P, and K) uptake of sorghum (cv. CSH-9)-wheat (cv. HD-2189) cropping system. N, P, and K were applied at 50, 75, and 100% of the recommended rate (120:60:60 kg/ha).
