The seeds of V. myrtillus, V. vitis-idaea and V. uliginosum were gathered in 1997-98 in Luzhskii district of Leningrad region, Russia. Germination was studied at 20-23 degrees C on paper impregnated with water (control), or NiSO4 or CuSO4 at concentrations of 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100 mg/litre. Data on laboratory germination following each treatment and morphometric indices of the seedlings are tabulated, and illustrations of germinating seeds are provided.
